Sapphire name comes from the Latin word saphirus clearly meaning: blue!
Sapphire has been mined since almost one thousand years before BC. At that time, Persians were convinced that the color of the sky was the reflection of the sapphire precious stones!
It has always been perceived as bringing happiness, inner peace, beauty and growth. Many wore it to ward off illness or as protection while traveling.
